Bates Individual Comfort System Technology - A breakthrough in advanced comfort technology that gives you the freedom to choose the setting that is right for you. These leather and nylon boots with the waterproofing benefit of Gore-Tex® allow you to select the level of comfort and performance you want.

The midsole features a removable disk that rotates among four zones to control firmness, cushion, inward and outward stability. The individual comfort system dial allows you to select your own comfort zone:

FIRM zone for energy return
CUSHION zone for increased shock absorption
OUTWARD zone to reduce outward tilt and maximize natural walking motion and stability
INWARD zone to reduce inward tilt and maximize natural walking motion and stability.
