The Safariland 77 Double Magazine Pouch is top-of-the-line and is designed to carry two magazines of ammunition on a 2.25 Duty Belt. The Model 77 features both vertical and horizontal belt slots, allowing it to ride in either a vertical or low-profile horizontal position. A new magazine tension screw located between the two pouches provides for easy magazine retention adjustment. It also has wide radius edges. The Model 176 is a magazine pouch that is spring loaded to lift the magazine above other duty gear on the belt, and it can pivot away form body to prevent interference with body armor. The securing strap is ergonomically designed to release with one finger and can be stowed out of the way to become a speed case. The magazine is secure in the holder in an inverted position with securing strap removed and there are no metal straps to corrode or become damaged.
