Pelican 7060 Compact Rechargeable LAPD LED Duty Flashlight
Working together in a unique public/private endeavor, the Los Angeles Police Department and Pelican Products, Inc. have redefined the tactical application of the standard duty light.
In the end, the specifications called for a new dual switch LED design, and Pelican Products began the R&D to make the light into reality.
An officer on patrol needs the burn time and convenience of a neck-switched duty light, but tactical situations can demand a tail switch with momentary activation. The new Pelican 7060 serves both purposes in a single, compact unit with incredible brightness.
Pelican 7060 LED Flashlight
In a collaboration, LAPD has partnered with Pelican Products to develop the Pelican 7060 LED as the standard issue tactical/patrol flashlight for all its officers. The Pelican 7060 LED light employs new dual switch technology that allows the light to be activated by either a body-mounted patrol switch or a tail-mounted tactical switch.
The dual switches, which include a momentary mode, allows the user to grip the light in several positions and still control activation. The light incorporates rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery for maximum brightness and light weight.
